- We had our second spelling test.
- We went to Barrett Park and collected soil samples. We found LOTS of different ladybugs. There were black ones with yellow rings around the spots, and yellow ones with a wavy pattern. The ladybugs were crawling all over us! We were looking for clay, loam and sand. We found loam and sand but not clay. There were also worms and wasps and a hare in the park. We also did a reflective journal about what what we saw, and we labeled the pictures.
What questions do we have after today?
- What will we do next week?
- Why is there always a rabbit when we go to Barrett Park? Is it's home there?
- Will the ladybugs be hibernating when we visit Barrett Park next time?
- How many different species of ladybugs are at Barrett Park?
- Will the pears be gone next time?
- What will be the big word next week?
- Does the soil go through a cycle?
- What are the ladybugs doing right now?
- Will the ladybugs find a nice and safe place to hibernate?
